LIKELY SUSPECT (2) produced a big effort fresh up to win his maiden fresh up on this track. He is capable of going a lot further in his career and will be suited by the step up to a middle distance today. He is a big chance to make it two wins on the bounce. COASTAL TOWN (4) found it hard to make up ground on that testing Werribee track last start after a bold effort for second at Hamilton prior to that effort. He does get back in his races but if there is enough tempo in the race then he could have the last say. LUCAS THE YOUNGER (3) made up plenty of late ground at Naracoorte fresh up and is usually sharper second up. Hard to beat. NAVY BLACK (7) has improved at each of his runs back this term and will be peaking third up. The 1700 metres will suit and he should be right in the finish.
