SKIPPED TWICE lost all chance when stumbling at the start in a slightly stronger contest at Aqueduct latest, but his earlier form reads well in the context of this event and he looks worth another chance. Ithastobesunny hinted at his first sign of ability when second in a similar event over six furlongs latest, while Royal Advisor has some decent placed form at this level and looks pick of the remainder.
GLORYCOURT has proved consistency personified at this level in recent months and he would not have to improve on his latest third over today's C&D to regain the winning thread. Sambumbe drew clear for a comprehensive success over slightly further and has to be respected, while Maneuverable bounced back to form with a cosy success over C&D and looks capable of giving the selection something to think about.
Inside Straight showed enough promise when finishing sixth on his debut in a stronger heat at Gulfstream Park last spring but he has been off the track in the meantime and RED PLANET is preferred. The selection is no superstar but he has some solid placed form to his name and could be good enough to land a trappy event. Roanoke Storm makes most appeal of the remainder.
HERMOTHERANDIDO found just one too good around here latest but the prolific Frankie Pennington continues in the saddle and she is fancied to add to a win gained here last month. Livia takes a big drop in class and could be involved at the business end, while Premise is a solid performer at this level and has claims.
Suave Line and Wila West are dropping in class here but need to improve on recent efforts. Party Tip has won two of her last three starts and makes more appeal despite tackling better company today but preference is for DIANA OF THE WOODS, another with a good recent strike rate and a very comfortable scorer over the extended mile in this grade here before the New Year.
No Passing Zone was a battling winner in this grade last time and should be thereabouts but might find a couple too good. Flash Can Dance was just touched off in a better race last time and has sound claims but although JUST THUNDER is not the most reliable, he landed a $32k allowance race over the extended mile here last time - form that would be good enough to take this.
Gotham Limited has been knocking on the door in similar contests and might be let in tonight while Wagon Clearance has been well beaten in tougher company lately but has sound claims at this level. It's worth taking a chance, however, on TRUE HALO, who has some good form in tougher company and might be able to get back to winning ways dropped in grade tonight.
J.D SAFARI takes a sharp drop in class and is expected to return to winning ways this afternoon. Jet Away Jane has not finished outside of the front two on her last five outings and rates a danger, while Linda's Lion is no forlorn hope on her best form.
LADY LANKFORD found a step up in class too much at Aqueduct latest but she had previously obliged in a similar contest and can regain the winning thread this afternoon. Mayan Princess has been holding her form well and rates an obvious threat, while Blues Cat bids for a hat-trick and completes the short-list.
Mindy's Peak returned to winning ways last time out but this looks tougher and the formbook points towards CHAPLAIN CHARLIE. Robert Seeger's charge had plenty in hand when completing a four-timer here earlier this month and will be hard to peg back if continuing in form. Cabo Rojo filled the runner-up spot around here last time and could be the one for the forecast.
