Safari Sundowner isn't the most consistent but has scored six times on the all-weather this year. He's up 5lb for a recent C&D success but should still prove too good for the runner-up again, Show Winner, who has failed to follow up on last season's maiden win. Prime Number boasts a decent strike-rate but has plenty of weight and is passed over in favour of all-weather specialist RESPLENDENT ACE. It's taken INQUISITRESS a couple of runs to hit her peak after a seven-month lay-off but she scored with something in hand over C&D last month. As that was in an apprentice race, she escapes a penalty and that should enable her to follow up here. Le Chiffre was a narrow winner at Wolverhampton latest but that was in a claimer and he has something to find and Anthill, second over 7f here latest, might prove a better bet for the forecast.

On paper there appears to be little strength in the newcomers and experience looks likely to tell. Azwa has shown signs of ability but looks to have plenty of weight on her handicap debut. Red Humour won a Lingfield maiden on the all-weather and looks open to plenty of improvement after just two starts while Missile Dodger just missed out over C&D last time and is 1lb better off now. ONCE A GULCH made a pleasing debut when second over this trip at Great Leighs in May and, with further improvement on the cards, he looks like the one that they all have to beat. Stablemate, Blow Hole, faces a slightly easier task than his latest start at Newmarket and should go close, while Pivka could be another worth noting in the betting market on his first public appearance.

VILNA improved for the application of a visor and scored a shade cosily over this track and trip last week. He's 6lb higher here but has scope for further progress.
