Quake Zone has put in some good efforts but is inconsistent and looks exposed. Lindisfarne has been well beaten in three starts but takes a big drop in class. preference, however, is for MUGAL RULER, who was a close second in a tougher race over a route last time but can be given every chance in a sprint in this grade.
NATIVE BLANKET is starting to look exposed but is the fastest of these and has put in some good efforts in sprints. He can be given one more chance to break his duck. Water Mark Blaze is another who has had plenty of chances but he drops in class here and might pose the biggest threat.
O'Henry's Peak won his debut raced and has been placed in all five starts since but has never raced on grass and Famous Artist, well behind O'Henry's peak last time but a better performer on turf makes more appeal here. However, it's worth taking a chance on the still-improving CHRONOLOGY, another who has never run on grass but a decent performer on dirt in tougher races.
Power In The Blood wasn't far away in fifth last time and drops in class today. She should go close. Pea Jay Kat has bags of early speed but tends to find little at the sharp end. This should go to JACQ'S SPADE, a good second over C&D in this grade last time and entitled to improve after just three runs.
Kenala won his last race in the stewards' room after being bumped late but that effort might be a flash in the pan. Ruettiger is the quickest over this trip but hasn't won for more than a year and recent efforts have been poor. LIL FORREST, on the other hand, is running well. Second in a tougher race over 6f here last time, he can go one better tonight.
Mister Charmin and Smokin Run both step up in grade after winning last time but the latter looks open to further improvement after just three starts and makes more appeal. However, a better bet looks to be TRADE AGREEMENT, another still on the upgrade and a close third in this grade over C&D last month.
Finders Chance, second in this grade last time, has been racing in tougher contests and shouldn't be far away tonight. Heart Bandit, after two near-misses, finally got his head in front last time and can be given a god chance here. However, the less-exposed ALIEMANDY CANDY, scored with more ease and looks open to further improvement after just six starts. He gets the vote.
This should go the way of MOROS FANTASTIC, the quickest of these and a useful performer in better company. She takes a big drop in class today and should prove too good for these. La Escondida, a close third in this grade last time, looks the danger while the inconsistent Triple Silence could go close if at her best.
