FOR WES appears to have relished the switch to the Luis Gutierrez yard and this son of Freud can continue the upward curve having scored over C&D last time. Dee Bob and Cayo Hueso both arrive with claims.
Dove Nest won her penultimate race in the stewards' room and her most recent effort suggested she can go close here but QUIXOTIC LASSIE gets the nod. She should appreciate the step up to 6f having lengthened eye-catchingly to score by five and a quarter lengths when last sighted. Not Easy also holds genuine claims.
MIDNIGHT ABBEY has shown plenty of promise recently and if her best form can be reproduced, she will take some beating. Saltinthecity should be considered back up in trip while Frankies Dream is another with a chance.
C&D winner WINNING TOKEN has seemingly appreciated the switch to Rafael Ramos' yard and his recent form suggests he can land the spoils here. Thundering Roar and Black Minotaur look the pick of the others.
ONE CLASSY LADY looks the most likely winner here as the five-year-old has performed admirably albeit in defeat this term. Not out of the first three home in her last four starts she can land the spoils here but has two genuine challengers in Miss Fancy Shoes and and Golden Agave.
METAURUS scored in style over 5f at Mountaineer last time and could take some stopping in his bid to follow up. Wayside Park and Pura P T are most feared.
DELASTMANSTANDING'S record of three wins and two places from five visits here is impressive and he sets the standard tonight. Thunder Warrior and Liscannor Bay finished second and third respectively in a similar prize at this venue latest but they may be left to scrap it out for minor honours once again.
HIGH STAKES PLAYER has yet to score in seven starts this year but is clearly returning to form, finishing third twice in $25k claimers at Saratoga recently. He could be capable of landing the spoils in this company. The consistent Here Comes Vinny looks the one for the exacta while Hot Act is not without a chance.
Justfortherecord and Brooklyn Bound were second and fourth in this grade over a route here latest and should be thereabout but might find one too good in the lightly-raced S'MIKE, also second in a similar contest over a route here latest. That was only his third start, and with more to come, he can see off these rivals.
