COSMIC MOON had a couple of subsequent winners in behind when scoring on his debut at Chester and with this longer trip likely to suit, he could be very nicely treated off a mark of 75. Stablemate Bridle Belle has a bit to find based on her moderate effort at Doncaster last time, so chief dangers could be Diamond Penny, who ran well for second in a decent Salisbury contest, and Raucous Behaviour, who won a moderate Brighton maiden on his debut but is entitled to improve for Mark Johnston.
Richard Fahey's pair both make plenty of appeal, with Cosmic Moon just preferred to Bridle Belle. Whether they can cope with Raucous Behaviour has to be doubted, though. Mark Johnston's juvenile looked a useful prospect when overcoming his inexperience at Brighton and is taken to follow up.

Definightly is 10lb well in according to official figures but he will need the breaks from his middle stall. Recent Newmarket second Advanced won the Gold Cup off a 14lb higher mark three years ago and he looks best of those drawn low, though Sea Of Leaves ran well at Doncaster last time and is another with a squeak from a single-figure stall. Irish Heartbeat beat Sea Of Leaves at Doncaster but may be suited by further, so a chance is taken on MISPLACED FORTUNE. Nigel Tinkler's charge ran a cracker off her current mark at York last time and remains in the form of her life this term.
Friday's Bronze Cup will no doubt have a huge bearing on the effect of the draw. That said, it is difficult to get away from the rapidly improving Definightly, who is potentially thrown in back in a handicap following his demolition job in a listed event last time. Colonel Mak and Irish Heartbeat are drawn on opposite sides and are suggested as the best alternatives.

Ragsah and Mortitia are almost inseparable on Doncaster form but this looks a hotter race, while Barefoot Lady is another stepping up in grade, having run well to score on Town Moor last time. Tallahasse beat Sweetie Time by a neck at Haydock last time and could confirm those placings, but they will all have to improve to stop RIMTH. Paul Cole's charge wasn't far away in the Lowther, having missed a big chunk of the season prior to that, and missed out by the narrowest of margins in Listed company at Salisbury last time.
Rimth sets a good standard and, though easy ground would be a cause for concern, she's likely to take plenty of beating if conditions are suitable. Sweetie Time and Barefoot Lady have the potential to improve a fair bit further yet and can also get in the shake-up.

Richard Fahey has won the last two runnings of this race and has a strong pair in Our Joe Mac and last year's winner Extraterrestrial, but COLEPEPER could prove a fly in the ointment here. Mark Johnston's colt looked to stay a mile when second at Kempton three starts ago and has since put in two excellent effort over 7f. Dazzling Light put in his second solid performance at York when third there last time, but one place ahead of him that day was ROYAL STRAIGHT and the latter can go one better here. Linda Perratt's charge doesn't find winning easy, but he's been running with credit over this sort of trip and can notch a third career success. Lady Luachmar is consistent but will need more to reverse the placings with Bollin Felix on the evidence of their run at Hamilton, while Cosmic Sun looks well handicapped on his best form but has shown little this term.
This represents a good opportunity for Becausewecan, who has been pitched into hotter races than this during the current campaign, and has been given some respite by the handicapper. Lady Luachmhar rates the main danger, while Dazzling Light should also be on the premises.
